Aiming to boost soccer reach in the US, Univision Deportes has launched its Prospects Series looking to support youth talent in the US.
Under the terms of the initiative, Univision will partnering with three international youth tournaments to produce and/or broadcast the games. It will also will continue to produce its own Prospects Cup which premiered in December 2017.
Varying in ages from U-12 to U-19, the other soccer championships included in the Prospects Series are the Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup (Texas), the NEXEN Manchester City Cup (San Diego), the CONCACAF Youth Tournaments across the country.
"Univision Deportes is the home of soccer in the US and we are committed to supporting the growth of the beautiful game in this country," said Juan Carlos Rodríguez, president of Univision Deportes. "By launching the Prospects Series platform in partnership with these premier tournaments, we aim to elevate youth soccer and provide an unprecedented showcase, contributing to the advancement of the sport for the next generation of players and fans."
Content and broadcasts of all the four events will be available on Univision Deportes Network (UDN), and via streaming on Univisiondeportes.com and the Univision Deportes app.
